Intermediate Riders

Today I will be talking about what intermediate riders do in there lessons. First as always we stand up in our stirrups. You then trot the horse to warm up.  Intermediate riders jump courses while the beginners just walk over poles. So after the horse is warmed up we canter and to get a horse to canter or really do anything you have to ask the horse to go then if they don't you tell the horse to go and then if the horse doesn't go you command the horse to go. But to canter you ask, tell, and command. while you are doing that you have to kick the horse forward. While cantering if you feel the horse start to slow down you need to squeeze and if you have a crop and they don't go then tap them with the crop. Some of you might not know what a canter is but it is faster than a trot but slower than a gallop. That's all today bye guys!
